Step 2. Materials Review
The Admission Office, the International College, CUMT will review the application materials in the system according to following standards:
the materials are complete and valid as required
the basic information of applicants meet the application requirements
Requirements for all applicants
1. Language Proficiency
For English taught programs:
IELTS ≥ 5.5, TOEFL ≥ 79, Duolingo English Test ≥95
For Chinese taught programs:
HSK-4 (at least) certificate
(Applicants for Chinese taught programs without sufficient Chinese language proficiency are required to take a one-year Chinese language program at CUMT and can start their major courses after passing the HSK4 test with a sufficient grades.)
2. Age
Bachelor applicants: no more than 25 years old;
Master applicants: no more than 35 years old;
Doctoral applicants: no more than 40 years old;
GPA requirements for CUMT scholarship applicants:
Class A: GPA≥3.2；
Class B: GPA≥3
（total GPA is 4）
The application will be returned if the materials are incomplete or if the application requirements are not met.
