At 10:00 a.m. on September 1st, a 2023-2024 Experience Exchange Between Old students and New Students was organized at the Student Activity Centre of Maoyuan.

This meet-and-greet welcomed 77 newcomers from over 40 countries, with seasoned students Ernest Nil Laryea Amartey from Ghana and Qin Dong from Zambia sharing their invaluable experience. At the same time, they provided worthy guidance to the fresh students for better adaptation to the lifestyle in China.

During this exchange meeting, Ernest encouraged an open mindset, urging active interactions with locals and participation in social activities to swiftly adapt to the new surroundings. Meanwhile, Qin Dong highlighted the importance of a solid study plan, class participation, and constant professor engagement to ensure a smooth graduation.

This enriching exchange strengthened the bonds of trust and friendship among our students, infusing warmth and vigor into the International College's vibrant life. We hoped that the new international students will devote themselves to study and daily life with full enthusiasm in the multicultural family of China University of Mining and Technology, and step forward to a bright future with self-confidence! Here's to a great year ahead!
