On the morning of June 16, a meeting to evaluate the entries of the Teaching Competition for Foreign Students was held in the Conference Room 2204 of the International College, which was conducted through the Tencent Conference.
Prof. Zhang Navy, Vice President and Secretary General of Jiangsu Foreign Students Management Research Association, Prof. Jin Quanyuan from College of International Education of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Prof. Cheng Fang from College of International Education of Nanjing University of Information Engineering, Prof. Cui Jie from School of Overseas Education of Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, and Prof. Yu Tao from School of Foreign Studies of Jiangsu Normal University took part in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Wu Gefei, Director of International Students Management Office and Dean of International College.
The contestants were recommended and selected by the relevant colleges, and a total of five teachers from five colleges were shortlisted. Judging experts observed the teaching video, syllabus and teaching design of the participating teachers, and comprehensively evaluated the teaching quality and ability of each participating teacher. There were one special prize, two first prizes and two second prizes. CUMT would recommend the three teachers who won the special prize and the first prize to participate in the Jiangsu University Teaching Competition for Foreign Students.
This Teaching Competition for Foreign Students is significant for our university to improve the level of cultivation of international students. CUMT will continue to encourage teachers of foreign students' courses to strengthen exchanges and learning, improve their education and teaching level, and contribute to enhancing the internationalization and building a world-class university with specialties in energy resources.
