Recently, international students from CUMT and Xuzhou Medical University teamed up to take the stage at the Xuzhou branch of the 10th Chinese Poetry Spring Festival Gala. Together with local children, they delivered a heartfelt recitation of the classic poem "Deng Yunlong Shan" (Climbing Yunlong Mountain) by the legendary Song Dynasty poet Su Shi, who once served as an official in Xuzhou. Their performance was a beautiful blend of voices and cultures, bringing the city's rich history to life through verse.
After the show, ZEZE GUILAVOGUI, a CUMT international student from Guinea, shared his excitement: "I've always been interested in Chinese classical poetry. Xuzhou is a historical city with deep cultural heritage, and I feel very lucky to spend my first Chinese New Year here, experiencing its traditions firsthand." For these students, the stage became a bridge connecting their homelands to the timeless beauty of Chinese culture.
